David Innes: Writer and Producer

​David Innes (he/him) is an emerging playwright and producer based in Naarm/Melbourne. His original works, such as ncluding Mina Harker Monster Doctor, A Bond Among Us, and Mina vs the Martians, have enjoyed sell-out seasons at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and Adelaide Fringe, earning critical acclaim for their wit, genre flair, and theatrical invention.
 
As part of the comedy duo Innes Lloyd (with Rob Lloyd), David has also adapted classic works such as Dracula and Journey to the Centre of the Earth for contemporary audiences. He was the founder of The Impro Box, a genre-based improv troupe known for acclaimed productions such as Time Lord—an improvised, Doctor Who-inspired adventure that sold out in both 2023 and 2025. Offstage, David is a full-time maths teacher, regular presenter of teaching webinars, and lifelong Mario Kart enthusiast.

Dr Stayci Taylor: Producer and Dramaturg

​Dr Stayci Taylor (she/her) is an award-winning screenwriter, researcher, and creative practitioner whose work spans television, theatre, and academia. With a background in devised theatre and a PhD in screenwriting, Stayci has written for over a dozen broadcast series, including nine seasons of an award-winning bilingual soap, and co-created a primetime sitcom. Her scripts have been recognised at the Qantas Television Awards and the Scriptwriting Awards of New Zealand.
 
Currently a Senior Lecturer in Media at RMIT, Stayci specialises in screenwriting, gender, comedy, queer screen production and web series. She has published extensively in these areas and co-edited two landmark books on script development. Her expert commentary has reached national and international audiences, including over 6 million during a media blitz on COVID-era writing.
 
As a dramaturg and story consultant, Stayci brings exceptional experience in comedy, character, and genre. She performs with queer cabaret trio Queen Beaver (who sold out their Midsumma season at The Butterfly Club in 2023), and remains active in the web series scene through Melbourne WebFest.

Donna Winters: Sets and Props

​Donna Winters (she/they) is a multi-talented theatre-maker, performer, director, teacher, and award-winning prop builder with over 25 years of experience across community and independent theatre. Her stage credits span musicals (Chicago, Jesus Christ Superstar, The Pyjama Game) and contemporary drama (Blackrock, Cosi, Steel Magnolias, Bombshells), and she has directed productions including Noises Off, The Wizard of Oz, and The Bear. Her original works include the musicals Valerie – President of the World and Doctor, the Musical, and the sci-fi play The Adam/Eve Protocol (Melbourne Fringe, 2018).
 
A skilled theatre technician and maker, Donna created the award-winning cow puppet for Eddie Perfect’s The Beast, the full set of Xenomorphs for Shakespeare Aliens, and the demon dogs for Shakespeare Ghostbusters. Donna teaches Drama and Theatre Arts at Alice Miller School, where she also leads clubs in magic, gaming, and practical effects. She is passionate about hands-on, inclusive theatre that sparks imagination and joy in both students and audiences.
