Kitt Forbes (they/them)

Kitt Forbes is a Scottish Australian performer and director. Highlights of their training includes The Duende School of Ensemble Physical Theatre, The Actors Centre, The Wilin Centre at the University of Melbourne and residencies in Lesvos, Greece & Český Krumlov, Czechia. In Naarm they have been a member of physical improv troupe The Contingent and directed the play Love By the Hour for Midsumma in 2020.

Kitt is a lifelong fan of Doctor Who since the ABC repeated all the old ones in 2003. They read Garth Nix's Old Kingdom trilogy and Phillip Pullman's His Dark Materials as a kid and were raised on a diet that included Ocean Girl and Thunderstone - "Oz TV sci-fi kicked arse!" These days, they are watching Severance, Pluribus and returning to Westworld.

Kitt is excited by the chance to act again and to tackle so many characters. "It's fun," says Kitt, "the jokes in this script are gifts and I'm really looking forward to putting them in front of an audience. It's Australian science fiction - a genre piece of Melbourne, about Melbourne and for Melbourne. It's also an honour to be a part of something that properly celebrates queer older women and Myrt & Bev are worthy heroes indeed."
